Power Outage: L.B Ayeni urges residents to be friendly with officials of IBEDC as power returns soon.

There are indications that electricity supply will return to some communities who are currently experiencing power blackouts in Ilesha and environs.

This emerged after another round of a high-powered meeting took place between prominent members of Ijesaland and the authorities of IBEDC in Ibadan the Oyo state capital.

the meeting deliberated towards restoring power supply to the affected communities in a matter of weeks, this according to sources, included to test running some power installations that are believed to have not been badly damaged during a protest months ago, as well as restoring power to the affect communities one after the other as the case may be.

At the Ibadan meeting were Chief operating officer IBEDC, Engineer John Ayodele, managing director Ikeja disco, engineer Abiodun Ajifowobaje, chairman committee on community relations/IBEDC hon. L.B Ayeni, a community leader professor Ariyo, and a host of others.

in an interview with newsmen in Ilesa, Hon L.B Ayeni who thanked both parties for their understanding, in ensuring that the issues are resolved amicably, urged people of Ijesaland not to be hostile to any official of IBEDC.

He also charged residents to be vigilant, and prevent power transformers, and cables from tampering with by men of the underworld.

Easter: Fabayo greets Nigerians, urges love, tolerance


A chieftain of the Restoration Party of Nigeria RP in Osun, Comrade Olalekan Fabayo has enjoined Nigerians especially Christians across ila state constituency  to imbibe and
follow the teachings of Jesus Christ by upholding his virtues and ideals.

In a special Easter message signed by his media team, Fabayo said that the 2019 Easter which is to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ is significant, calling on citizens to see the celebration as an avenue for the rededication of their lives to service and nation building, 
Fabayo urged for genuine love, respect for one another, generosity and kindness in the society.
The Osun based broadcaster said: “Easter signifies hope and salvation brought to the world in need of redemption. The world would be a better place if the values and virtues reflected by the death and resurrection of christ, especially love for one another were practiced faithfully.

He enjoin all residents in the state to continue their support for good governance.

Hunger: Hon L.B Ayeni wants 9th National Assembly to legislate laws that will wipe away poverty in Nigeria.

The House of Representatives elect for Ijesa South Federal Constituency of Osun , Hon Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni has said that laws that will be made now, must be guided by current government policies, to enable timely delivery of dividends of democracy to the door steps of Nigerians.

Hon Ayeni made this known to newsmen at the sideline of the ongoing workshop in Abuja

According to him, chain of different laws and acts that will have direct impact on the life of common Nigerians must be enacted.

While reacting to a statement made by the United Nations , that ranked Nigeria among the eight nations that face acute hunger, Hon Ayeni said urgent action to ensure food security should be giving priority now.

The renowned philanthropist in Osun ,regretted that despite various government's poverty alleviation programs , many Nigerians ,especially in the conflict zones are wallowing in abject poverty.

Hon Ayeni who said he was aware of the hardship that many Nigerians are going through, expressed confidence that the 9th National Assembly  ,when inaugurated would do all it takes to improve the standard living of Nigerians.

He also assured the people of Ijesa South Federal Constituency of Osun, his resolve and determination
to serve them inline with the mass - oriented policies and programs of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.
