There are indications that electricity supply will return to some communities who are currently experiencing power blackouts in Ilesha and environs.
This emerged after another round of a high-powered meeting took place between prominent members of Ijesaland and the authorities of IBEDC in Ibadan the Oyo state capital.
the meeting deliberated towards restoring power supply to the affected communities in a matter of weeks, this according to sources, included to test running some power installations that are believed to have not been badly damaged during a protest months ago, as well as restoring power to the affect communities one after the other as the case may be.
At the Ibadan meeting were Chief operating officer IBEDC, Engineer John Ayodele, managing director Ikeja disco, engineer Abiodun Ajifowobaje, chairman committee on community relations/IBEDC hon. L.B Ayeni, a community leader professor Ariyo, and a host of others.
in an interview with newsmen in Ilesa, Hon L.B Ayeni who thanked both parties for their understanding, in ensuring that the issues are resolved amicably, urged people of Ijesaland not to be hostile to any official of IBEDC.
He also charged residents to be vigilant, and prevent power transformers, and cables from tampering with by men of the underworld.
