Power Outage: L.B Ayeni urges residents to be friendly with officials of IBEDC as power returns soon.

There are indications that electricity supply will return to some communities who are currently experiencing power blackouts in Ilesha and environs.

This emerged after another round of a high-powered meeting took place between prominent members of Ijesaland and the authorities of IBEDC in Ibadan the Oyo state capital.

the meeting deliberated towards restoring power supply to the affected communities in a matter of weeks, this according to sources, included to test running some power installations that are believed to have not been badly damaged during a protest months ago, as well as restoring power to the affect communities one after the other as the case may be.

At the Ibadan meeting were Chief operating officer IBEDC, Engineer John Ayodele, managing director Ikeja disco, engineer Abiodun Ajifowobaje, chairman committee on community relations/IBEDC hon. L.B Ayeni, a community leader professor Ariyo, and a host of others.

in an interview with newsmen in Ilesa, Hon L.B Ayeni who thanked both parties for their understanding, in ensuring that the issues are resolved amicably, urged people of Ijesaland not to be hostile to any official of IBEDC.

He also charged residents to be vigilant, and prevent power transformers, and cables from tampering with by men of the underworld.

Easter: Fabayo greets Nigerians, urges love, tolerance


A chieftain of the Restoration Party of Nigeria RP in Osun, Comrade Olalekan Fabayo has enjoined Nigerians especially Christians across ila state constituency  to imbibe and
follow the teachings of Jesus Christ by upholding his virtues and ideals.

In a special Easter message signed by his media team, Fabayo said that the 2019 Easter which is to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ is significant, calling on citizens to see the celebration as an avenue for the rededication of their lives to service and nation building, 
Fabayo urged for genuine love, respect for one another, generosity and kindness in the society.
The Osun based broadcaster said: “Easter signifies hope and salvation brought to the world in need of redemption. The world would be a better place if the values and virtues reflected by the death and resurrection of christ, especially love for one another were practiced faithfully.

He enjoin all residents in the state to continue their support for good governance.

Hunger: Hon L.B Ayeni wants 9th National Assembly to legislate laws that will wipe away poverty in Nigeria.

The House of Representatives elect for Ijesa South Federal Constituency of Osun , Hon Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni has said that laws that will be made now, must be guided by current government policies, to enable timely delivery of dividends of democracy to the door steps of Nigerians.

Hon Ayeni made this known to newsmen at the sideline of the ongoing workshop in Abuja

According to him, chain of different laws and acts that will have direct impact on the life of common Nigerians must be enacted.

While reacting to a statement made by the United Nations , that ranked Nigeria among the eight nations that face acute hunger, Hon Ayeni said urgent action to ensure food security should be giving priority now.

The renowned philanthropist in Osun ,regretted that despite various government's poverty alleviation programs , many Nigerians ,especially in the conflict zones are wallowing in abject poverty.

Hon Ayeni who said he was aware of the hardship that many Nigerians are going through, expressed confidence that the 9th National Assembly  ,when inaugurated would do all it takes to improve the standard living of Nigerians.

He also assured the people of Ijesa South Federal Constituency of Osun, his resolve and determination
to serve them inline with the mass - oriented policies and programs of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.

'Your victory at the Feb.23rd polls didn't come to us as a surprise'! Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun tells Hon L.B Ayeni in his congratulatory message.

     
               

Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun has charged the House of Representatives- Elect for Ijesa South Federal Constituency, Hon Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni to remain focused and committed to the effective implementation of the programs of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which according to him are aimed at improving the welfare ,and material wellbeing of the populace.

Governor Oyetola made this known in his congratulatory message to Hon L.B Ayeni.

The governor who described the victory of Hon Ayeni, and APC at the February 23rd polls as historic, said the victory was as a result of Hon Ayeni's selfless service to humanity ,and acceptance of APC by the people of Ijesa South Federal Constituency.

The message read in part , ' your victory at the polls did not come to us as a surprise , it was indeed an acknowledgement of your performance as you had carved a niche for yourself in the public service'.

'The wide margin votes over other contestants at the polls is a confirmation of the acceptance of APC by the people of Ijesa South Federal Constituency'.

The governor who on behalf of his family, the state government and the people of Osun, congratulated the APC supporters, the entire people of Ijesa South Federal Constituency and Hon L.B Ayeni on the well deserved victory,  charged Hon Ayeni to justify the confidence reposed in him by the people through selfless services to the people.

INEC presents certificate of return to Hon L.B Ayeni,others in Abuja- Olajide Tomisin

Two groups known as Ayeni Support Group (ASG) and Ayeni Independent Support Group (AISG) have described the victory of Hon Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni in the recently conducted elections for the House of Reps as a new down in the history of Ijesaland.

The groups made this known in Abuja shortly after Hon Ayeni received certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja.
ASG and AISG through his president Comrade Lekan Olowe called on the people of Ijesa South Federal Constituency , to give adequate support to Hon Ayeni ,and the APC led- government.

In the meantime, a reception has been organised in honour of Hon Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni this evening, and tomorrow evening at the L.B Ayeni empowerment office ,Okesa ,Ilesa.

It would be recalled that the newly elected members of the 9th National Assembly have received their certificates of return from INEC in Abuja.

‘Reject moneybag politics’ – Fabayo urges youths

Ahead of the Saturday  elections across the country, the Restoration Party of Nigeria RP candidate for Osun state House of Assembly to represent Ila state constituency, Comrade Olalekan Fabayo has advised youths in the constituency not to mortgage their future.
He contended that money bag politics must be rejected for the desired change to take place.
Speaking in a forum with the progressive youths of Ila-orangun, Comrade Olalekan Fabayo stressed the need to kick against the idea of money bag politics come  Saturday election.
Fabayo said It is not enough for the people to vote for him only on the basis of being a youth saying it’s a question of character, capacity and attitude  required to propel a cutting edge agenda for the development of the constituency.
Comrade Olalekan Fabayo added that godfatherism and money politics will fail in the Saturday election saying he is sure of victory because he is  passionate about ila people and was loved by them.
”Godfatherism will fail in Ila and moneybag politicians will be disappointed in the election,” he said.
He urged electorate across the constituency to go out enmass and vote for the Restoration Party of Nigeria RP on Saturday.

2019 Elections; Hon Adeyeye Akinson drums support for Buhari, Famurewa, Akol,others.

A grassroot politician in Obokun council area of Osun State, Prince Adeyeye Akinson has cautioned political thugs and their sponsors, against violence during the upcoming general elections.


Akinson gave the caution while speaking on the need for peaceful conduct of the elections.


He said power belonged to God and only Him determines who wins in any election.


Hon Akinson, who is a chieftain of APC in Obokun council area, said the federal government under the leadership of President Muhammodu Buhari had assured Nigerians of adequate security to ensure that the result of the election is credible.


The founder Prince Adeyeye Akinson foundation, also said the APC government has turned around the fortune of the nation in the past four years, adding that what Nigerians are witnessing now from the major  opposition party is an attempt to hijack power, and resume the looting spree of the nation's Commonwealth again.


Hon Akinson, who charged the teeming APC supporters in Obokun, and Oriade Federal constituency to vote APC on Saturday,  however called for unity among all Nigerians irrespective of tribe,political affiliation, religion and other sentiments , for the nation to become great.
